Everson Albrecht Scholarship Program

The Everson Albrecht Scholarship program was established to enable high school youth to recognize, develop and utilize their leadership potential. Our goal is to bridge the gap between limited resources and boundless opportunity through a scholarship program, providing the tools and financial support students need to fuel their post-secondary goals.

Who is eligible?

Eligible students include high school seniors with post-secondary education plans (vocation, college, etc) that have demonstrated leadership and ambition and would benefit from additional financial and mentorship resources. Seniors must be specifically invited to apply OR must be graduating from Mexico High School in Mexico, Missouri in order to be considered.

7What is the award amount?

Each recipient will receive $2500 for 1 year, which will be distributed in two installment of $1250 during the ’27’/’28 education / training calendar. Half of the scholarship awarded will be distributed within 120 days of award. The second half will be distributed upon confirmation that scholarship recipient(s) have maintained the requirements listed below upon completion of one semester / trimester, or at the 9 month mark post-award (whichever occurs first).

How is selection determined?

Selection will be based on demonstrated leadership and ambition during the student’s high school career, as well as evidence that attests to the student’s financial and mentorship needs. Applications must be submitted by April 15, 2027. Some applicants will be asked to participate in a 20 minute interview (via zoom) with a member of the Everson Albrecht Scholarship Program selection committee.

What is required of scholarship recipients?

Scholarship recipients are required to abide by the following:

  • Full-time participation in some form of post-secondary education (doesn’t have to be college – can be a vocational or trade school).
  • Full time = a minimum of 12 credit hours / semester (or commensurate amount for non-collegiate programs).
