JDE Capital is seeking intern candidates for two roles that support the development of a hybrid ETA/start-up concept in the pet services space:

1) Business Analyst

2) Technology Product Manager

A general overview of responsibilities for each role is included below.  

Weekly hours for both positions will be approximately 20 hours / week, and interns are required to work in the office in University City, MO at least two days / week. Anticipated start time frame is July 2024 (specific date is flexible) and a minimum commitment of six months is required. Due to the early stage of the company, JDE Capital interns are required to sign an NDA. 

JDE Capital internships are for GRADUATE-level students or individuals that already possess a masters degree in a related field only. Undergraduate students or individuals who possess an undergraduate degree but are not participating in graduate-level business school will not be considered. 

Interested candidates must live in the Greater St. Louis region or be willing to relocate to the area for the duration of your internship without compensation for travel or living expenses. If you do not already live in the Greater St. Louis region, please indicate your plans for relocation in your application.

 

Responsibilities (including approximate % time allocation):

1) Business Analyst – the Business Analyst intern will work with the JDE Capital team to perform the following duties:

• Real Estate Strategy (40%) 
  • play a vital role in the effort to research, identify and procure a new location for the pet services business
  • assist JDE Capital Managing Partner with the selection of 3rd party vendors involved in  the development and build-out of the new location, including architecture firm and general contractor; and serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between JDE Capital and these vendors
• ETA Ownership Transition (20%)
  • assist with efforts to transition ownership for a pet services company being acquired by JDE Capital (currently under LOI, anticipated close early to mid July 2024)
    
• Day One Readiness (20%)
  • support efforts to onboard new 3rd party vendors for various business management activities such as payroll and bookkeeping
• Other duties as assigned (20%)

 

2) Technology Product Manager – JDE Capital is working with a technology development agency to create a suite of front and back-end software for the new company. The Technology Product Manager intern will work with the JDE Capital team to perform the following duties:

• Technology Strategy (70%)
  • develop the new company’s technology strategy and the detailed requirements necessary for implementation
  • serve as the primary liaison between JDE Capital and the technology development agency, acting as the go-to contact to remove or escalate roadblocks
• Research (10%)
  • perform research on existing, off-the-shelf solutions for a variety of business management purposes and support the effort to initiate and launch the use of selected programs
• Other duties as assigned (20%)
